| Hubs out of town so I grabbed Luca to get her run in. Ran her from work back home. My last 3 miles back to work were in the rain- at 34F.... actually felt pretty good.

| Excellent workout today. 3x 20 min at 10k effort up hills with 3 min recovery between. I didn't watch pace at all, just went by effort and pain. AP ended up being 7:42- which included a slow mile warm up and a mile on muddy trails. Same course as the 13.1 race and my time was only 11 minutes slower with double the hills. Really happy with my fitness level/ speed at this point in my training ( or lack there of). | Add Comment |

| Amazing Feb. day for a run. We were outside all day today. - 2 mile loop with the girls, 10 mile run, trip to the park and swimming. Nice little winter break.

| 10 miles at lunch. Feels more like winter weather with some wind. Finished with 15 hill sprints in the park. The short sprints felt much better than the long haul up the mountain!

Took Luca for three before bed. For some reason running after dinner, before bed for a few easy miles feels so good!

| Hubby and I went for 7, then he went home and I went for another 8. I stepped off of the path and tweaked the high outside ankle/shin. I was planning on going out for another 3 after the girls were in bed, but decided not to. Heading to sunny California early Thursday morning with the girls to visit family. Really excited about the 70+ temps, but not sure if I will be able to fit any runs in. Trying to get 50-60 miles before I head out.

11 miles at lunch. Warm up around the river then headed to the cc course for intervals. 4 x 10 minutes at 6:40 pace 2 minute recovery. Felt reallly strong- even up the hills. Really happy about my fitness and strength right now. Excited to start training for racing this summer, already have about 20 races on the schedule!!

| 10 miles after stepping of the airplane. The girls and I were starving so we had some snacks before I headed out. Between the jet lag and snacks I felt sluggish and nauseated. Good practice for the ultra next month...

| Loop around the river then headed to the cc course for some intervals. 3 x 10 minutes intervals at 6:40 pace with 2 minute recovery jog between. I was hoping for 4, but my legs just didn't have it in them today (maybe due to hill charges or extra time on my bike yesterday....) and since it is super early in the year- no need to push anything.
Took Luca for 3 before bed. She needed about 15, but we didn't have time :)

| 3 mile warmup around the river then hit the cc course for a 6 mile tempo. Kept the pace at 7:00- about MP. Even through all the hills and curves, I maintained my pace on each mile.

That soft grass and hills are a killer workout- about 10x harder than a tempo on pavement. A month of the cc course and my legs are going to be machines!
Took Luca out for 2.5- short, but I let her run off leash through the school.
