| 2 mile wu 6 x 1200m on 400 m off. At 6:30 pace. Splits were 4:55, 4:49, 4:48, 4:53, 4:55, 4:54 Last 3 into a nice little head wind (of course...) After a couple months of marathon pace training, I needed a little pick me up.
2 miles with Luca after grils were asleep.

| Wanted to do more, but settled for 5 with I on her bike again. Planning on Pocatello marthon on Sept 5th. Throwing in a few long hard runs to get me ready. I will be able to take my Missoula experience and apply here and have a better race. Go into it more prepared.

Killer K workout! 2 mile wu. 8 at medium pace (7:30). 6 x 1k on at HM pace (6:35-6:40) 1 k off.
Felt strong through the 1ks, but I needed fuel. I was gulping water at the few spots I coud find and only took one gel so by the end my stomach was just full of water and no electolytes.

| 5 mile race. Head wind the entire race. I did not race well. 6:50 splits- slower than my halfs... the wind added about 10 seconds/mile, but still I jsut did not have it today. My guess is the 20 mile workout on Wednesday was still in my legs. Oh well..Mesa Half this weekend and then 2 weeks till Pocky Marathon...

| Mesa Falls Half. After 3 week sof rest and aslow 5 mile race last week I was ready to go.
Started out on the dirt trail slower than I wanted, but when I hit the pavement I was ready to roll. Pushed hard on the hill (3.5-7) and got into a nice pace at mile 7and carried it out the rest of the way. Miles 7-11 are rolling, but I tagged a guy in front of me and reeled him in.
I felt really smooth and strong on the run and noticed that when I thought about pushing the pace for the last mile I tightened up and didn't drop any in time, but used more energy. Need to keep that in my head at Pocatello.
Really happy with my time on the course.
