Woke up to lots of snow on the ground! Barely made it to the start line due to roads conditions.

Started with the 50kers b/c I was supposed to coach soccer at 11:30.

Took off and felt pretty good. Couldn't run up the steep hills b/c there was no traction, but no one was running up them in the fresh powder. Caught up to a running buddy around mile 5 and we cruised through the rest of the course together. Went off course a few times (with the other lead guys), lost footing a few times, stepped in holes covered in snow, slipped all over the place- but had a fun time and actually ran descent. I wanted to break 2:30 and was thinking I could run around 2:20, but on race day I was happy to break 2:30. Wasn't sure in the conditions that was going to happen.

Not sore today.

Nicely done, the snow was definitely a surprise that Saturday morning!
