| Went out while it was snowing and the path was super slippery. Micro slips in every step. I stepped in a hole running on Friday and tweaked my ankle a bit. Nothing bad and I ran Saturday as usual with no effects, but the run today my soleus flarred up bad. Not sure if it was from the ankle twist or the slips, but it hit hard and shot up into my calf by the end of the run. I iced, stretched and rubbed it out as much as possible. Icing today- hopefully todays run isn't so bad or I am calling my PT and going in . She fixes it right up.

| The first half mile was painful- I am sure I had an ugly face the whole time. Changed my foot strike and that alleviated some of the pain. Icing now- another round of deep massage and stretching should get me through it. I was planning on 3 hard workouts before I am stuck in training for 3 days, but that probably won't happen. I'll get some workouts in on the spinner at night instead...

| Soleus feels a little better. Lots of ice today.
10 miles with 10 x 40 second hill sprints. Downhill aggreviated my tendon.

| Drove home and picked up Luca and then ran her back. I was just going to do my loop with her and then drive her back, but change of plans half way out and just took her home cause of some work that came up.
Soleus felt fine and dandy so that is a relief. Iced before I ran and stretched really well. Gald I didn't have to go see the PT cause no time this week for it...

| 2.3 before class then 5 at lunch. Was hoping to do 4 in the morning, but my almost-3-yo wouldn't let me and wanted to do more after class, but two kiddos and a sick hubby changed things. Will be glad to get back to a normal routine this week. The past three lunch runs have been at a medium- hard effort to make sure I am back in time. | Add Comment |
