25k. Course was a couple miles longer than last year. The first 3 miles are an out and back and some runner behind us went off course and cut out a good chunk. Took the first loop easy and felt good, after the two guys in front of me pushed it to stay ahead, I made them pay for it on the second loop. Ran really strong on the second loop and felt good. Had two gels and about 35 oz water. Had enough zest for another loop (or part of one). Course has lots of climbing and technical areas. First female and third overall. Great day for a trail race. Now to recover for a couple days, sneak in a speed session and race 10k on Saturday. Hoping my stomach will corporate and I can have a better race than the last 10k. Supposed to do a mile race at the high school track meet later that day. Depends on soccer game and getting the babe down in time. But if I do run, it is going to be ugly!
